Health Fair and Fun Run
The TRES PTA has the prescription for creating health awareness for our school community. The PTA will host the first school sponsored Health Fair and Fun Run on Friday, May 4 from 5-7:30 p.m. A charitable Fun Run for students with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association will kick off the event. Vendors from all facets of the health community will be present to speak with families about health and wellness. Topics include diabetes, asthma and allergies, nutrition, blood pressure, common mental health concerns for children, massage, yoga, acupuncture, dental care and first aid. We are actively trying to secure dermatologists and Zumba instructors as well. If you are a health professional, or know of one who would like to participate in the event, vendor slots are still available. The committee is also seeking local business sponsors for the Fun Run. Please contact Dori Capodanno at uvmass@verizon.net for vendor information, if your business would like to sponsor the Fun Run, or if you would like to volunteer with the organization of the Health Fair event. If you would like to volunteer to help organize and execute the Fun Run, please contact Martha Sapio at martha.sapio.pihg@statefarm.com.
